At the Virginia Creeper Fly Shop in Abingdon, Virginia, we are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 issue. While we adhere to the regulations of our Governor and the recommendations of our President, we realize getting outdoors is a great way to relieve stress, take in Spring weather and fresh air.
Our store remains open. Social distancing is essential and here in our shop we have enough space for people to shop comfortably and safely. Rarely do we have more than 3 customers at a time in our building so if we have more than 3 customers, we will have others wait on our big front porch. We sanitize our shop every day and use hand sanitizer and wash our hands regularly. Our lawn allows you to cast if you would like to try out one of our fly rods
We have everything you need for fly fishing in our area. If you are planning to fish but do not want to come inside our building, we will be happy to prepare supplies in advance of your trip to the water, and we can leave your order on our front porch, bring the order out to your car here in our parking lot or we can mail/UPS ship it directly to you. You can call in your order ahead; our shop # is (276) 628-3826.
Your safety is important to us. Because of the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation and unprecedented nature of this virus, policies and mandates from our Governor can change at any given moment. We will do our best to keep you informed if our store hours change or our store availability changes. Until then, we encourage you to continue to safely enjoy the beauty of our region and the great outdoors. If you go fishing with a non-family friend then we suggest you travel separately, meet at your fishing location and practice the 6 feet or more physical distance on the water and at the parking area
We sincerely appreciate your continued support and appreciate your business not only now, but during the last 26 years.
